Prize money is applicable to participants in the following categories:

• All prizes are applicable to both Open and Defence category participants.
• Armed Forces category includes: Army, Navy, Air Force, Indian Coast Guard, National Cadet Corps (NCC), Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), and State Armed Police Forces.
• Open Category includes all participants who do not fall under the Armed Forces category.
• The Defence category will not be part of the age-group category.

⚠ Note: Results announced on race day are Provisional and subject to verification.

Prize money is applicable to participants in the following categories:

• Finish positions within age groups are determined based on net finish times only.
• Overall finish positions are determined based on chip finish times only.
• Runners must cross the start line within 10 minutes of the official start time to be eligible for timings, rankings, and prize money.
• Timings and rankings will not be generated for runners who miss any timing point, including timing mats at the start and finish gates. Such performances will be considered incomplete and will not be considered for rankings or prize money.

• All prizes are subject to applicable taxation, submission of valid age proof, and completion of required formalities.
• Prize winners may be required to submit further proof of identity and/or age as required by the organiser.
• The Event Organiser reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to withhold disbursement or disqualify any participant found to have provided inaccurate or fraudulent information.
• Additional documents or video KYC may be requested for verification purposes prior to disbursement.

Important: Bib exchange and fraudulent document submission carry severe penalties including
lifetime bans.

• Runners found to have exchanged their race bib and/or bib tag with any other participant will be disqualified and will not receive any timing or prize money. Such runners will also be barred from future editions of the Surya Spiti Marathon.
• If an investigation reveals the submission of fraudulent documents, the participant will face a LIFETIME BAN from all future editions of the Surya Spiti Marathon.

• Any confirmed participant of the Surya Spiti Marathon 2026 may file a protest regarding official race results, including overall or age-category finish positions declared after the race.
• Protests must be submitted via email to: fitizenindia@gmail.com
• Only protest emails received on or before Sunday, 6th September 2026 will be considered. A jury will deliberate, verify, and deliver its decision on the protest within 14 working days of receiving the protest email.
• The decision will be communicated to the protesting party and, where the decision is favourable, will be published on the event website. The decision of the Event Organiser shall be final and binding on all parties.

Where a runner's timing result requires an update with respect to gender and/or age category, the
runner must write to fitizenindia@gmail.com no later than 15th September 2026, specifying the nature
of the edit required and attaching relevant supporting documents. Requests received after 15th
September 2026 will not be entertained.
