By Air

  • Nearest Airport: Bhuntar (Kullu–Manali Airport)
  • Approx. 245 km from Kaza, the main town in Spiti
  • Regular flights connect from Delhi and Chandigarh
  • From Bhuntar, continue by road via Manali using taxis or local transport

By Train

  • Closest Stations: Shimla (approx. 418 km)
  • Joginder Nagar (approx. 360 km)
  • From either station, proceed by road through Shimla–Reckong Peo or via Manali
Bus Services

Shimla – Reckong Peo – Kaza (All-Season Route)

  • Longer (~430 km) but more gradual ascent
  • Accessible most of the year
  • Better for acclimatization with multiple stopovers

Manali – Rohtang Pass – Kaza (Seasonal Route)

  • Shorter (~200 km) but more challenging terrain
  • Typically open from June to October
  • Ideal for experienced drivers and adventure seekers
  • Inner Line Permit required for foreign nationals
